FYCI is organising a programme, titled “Creative and Life Skills Training for Youth”, in partnership with Centre LSD. This programme is aimed at imparting creative and life skills in young people to position them for the future. The programme will run for three days, from Friday, 3 December to Sunday, 5 December 2021, in Abuja, Nigeria.
The components of the programme are outlined below:
- Self-branding training: Participants will be trained on self-branding, including how to create and edit videos marketing themselves.
- Vocational skills training: Participants will be trained on how to make hand sanitisers and hair fascinators
- Vocal training: Participants will be given vocal training(i.e training on singing and songwriting) with an opportunity to collectively develop an anthem on a relevant theme in line with FYCI’s programme areas.
- Digital skills training: Participants will be trained on how to create infographics and design a website.
The programme will occur as a side event of Palace of Priests Assembly’s annual convention, titled the Priests Assembly. The timeline for the event is as follows:

Some participants will be given an opportunity to exhibit skills acquired from the training through creative means during the Priests Assembly.
- Participants will receive certificates of participation upon successful completion of the training
